TEAM

Crimson Knights Football is comprised of two teams - one Middle School team (grades 6-8) and one High School Team (grades 9-12).

Middle School Team

2011 was our Middle School (MS) team's second year. After a slow start, we finished off the season by winning five of our last six games, capped off by a solid win over the state's most exprienced home school football program. In only our second year, the Knights secured a winning record (5-4).

The 2012 season holds a great deal of promise as a new coaching staff has been formed to build off of the good foundation that has been built. Scott McQueen is taking the reins of the middle school program after having been wooed away from Perry Township Youth Football where he has coached recreational and travel football teams.

"We had hoped to have Scott join our coaching staff in 2010, but that didn't work out," said Crimson Knights High School Head Coach Ken Snyder. "I am thrilled that we have a coach like Scott McQueen leading our Middle School program. 2012 will be a great year with a very good coaching staff and a strong group of returning players."

14-U

For three special games each year, we create a team comprised of some of our Middle School players and any Varsity players who are 14 or under on August 1st. The coaching staff determines which Middle School players will join the age-qualifying Varsity players in these games. We strive to have full Middle School and Varsity schedules so these games are in addition to what the players will be playing.

Varsity Team

2011 was our High School (HS) team's inaugural season, and after a difficult beginning for our HS program, the team rallied to win four of its last six games. The 2011 squad was very young and inexperienced with 16 of our 21 players either freshmen or first year players.

After graduating a solid, but small, inaugural graduating class, the Knights High School team is preparing for other changes as well. Not only will the team have a new Head Coach, but a number of new players are slated to join the team.

Ken Snyder, who has been the Head Coach of the Knights' Middle School team the last two years, will assume that same role for the HS team. "I am looking forward to re-joining Coach Mike Wilson [who coached with Snyder as the Defensive Coordinator of the MS Knights in 2010] after a very good first year for our High School team. Four wins is nearly unheard of for a first year team, but Mike lead that team well," Snyder said. He continued, "I have the privilege of working with a very good coaching staff, and, I believe, an even better group of players. We are looking forward to the hard work of pioneering a successful football program,"
